Fleer Program

Salem recognizes that students often come to college at different points in their lives, with different experiences, and that their educational journey is not always continuous. Salem also recognizes that many students strive to balance family and work responsibilities in addition to their course schedule.

Thus, the Martha H. Fleer Center provides targeted and dedicated support for undergraduate students who transfer to Salem from other schools, students who may be entering college for the first time later in life, students who want to complete their degree or get a second degree, and students who are looking to get a few extra credits before heading to graduate school.

Among the services provided by the Fleer Center are:

  • Academic advising
  • Mentorship and advocacy
  • Study skills
  • Time management skills
  • Student organizations that are focused on their specific needs and interests
  • Networking and relationship building
  • And much more!

Regardless of how or when students arrive at Salem, we are committed to giving them the support, tools and resources to achieve success.

Prospective transfer students and students who are wondering if this is the right time to return to school, are encouraged to contact Yutsil Hernandez-Diaz (y.hernandez_diaz@salem.edu) or admissions@salem.edu for more information about Salem’s undergraduate admission process and Salem’s commitment to its students.
