David Wells

David Wells

Mr. David D. Wells, Choral Conductor and Coordinator of Music Education at Salem College, is pursuing the Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree in Choral Conducting from Louisiana State University. He holds a Master of Music degree from Georgia State University, and a Music Education degree in both vocal and instrumental music from Concordia College.

Mr. Wells' choirs are recognized by their superb blend, unique tone and character of sound. The musicality of his groups has gained notable reviews in the press and communities nation wide. His choirs have excelled in performance and competition, being awarded both the Championship trophy and the runner-up in 1996 Fiesti-Val competition.

In addition to performances in world-renowned halls such as Spivey Hall and Carnegie Hall, his choirs have performed for major corporate heads, as well as events with nationally known speakers such as Ralph Reed, Cal Thomas, and E.V. Hill. Mr. Wells is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the Music Educators National Conference, and is an active adjudicator, clinician, and guest conductor.
