Reeves Shulstad

Reeves Shulstad

Dr. Shulstad is a graduate of Converse College with a double major in Music and English and Florida State University with a M. M. and Ph.D. in Historical Musicology. Her current publications include an article on Liszt's symphonic poems and symphonies the Cambridge Liszt Companion, edited by Kenneth Hamilton.

Shulstad has presented papers on topics concerning the relationship between music, philosophy, and literature for the Southern and Southeastern Chapters of the American Musicological Society, the American Liszt Society, and the Nineteenth-Century Studies Association. She is active in the American Musicological Society, the National Association of Schools of Music, and the College Music Society, currently serving on the Executive Board of the Mideast Chapter of CMS. Shulstad also serves on the board of the Piedmont Opera Theater in Winston-Salem.
