Linda Julian
Linda Julian earned the BM in Clarinet Performance and
MM degrees in Chamber Music from the North Carolina School of the Arts,
a student of Robert Listokin. She has performed as the Solo Clarinetist
with the U.S. Army Ground Forces and U.S. Army Europe Bands, touring the
United States and Europe. She currently performs as the Solo Clarinetist
with the Piedmont Wind Symphony.
As a chamber player and co-founder of Artwood Winds Plus,
she has performed in such venues as the Atlanta Piedmont Arts Festival
and participated in numerous chamber recitals in Germany. She now performs
throughout North Carolina with the trio, MELANGE and the Wake Forest University
faculty woodwind quintet, Opus 5. Ms. Julian is the former Principal Clarinetist
of the Winston-Salem Symphony and Virginia Beach Pops Orchestra. In addition
she has played as the Principal with the Macon Symphony, the Western Piedmont
Symphony, the Charlotte Symphony, and the Winston-Salem Piedmont Triad
Symphony. She has also performed with the Strasbourg Radio Orchestra,
and currently the North Carolina Symphony. She teaches at Salem College
and Wake Forest University.
