Salem
College Commencement Ceremony SpeakerActress Celia Weston will speak to Salem College's graduates on Saturday, May 22 at 10 a.m. in the May Dell. Weston earned a Bachelor of Arts in art and psychology from Salem College. After graduating from Salem, Weston studied theatre arts at the North Carolina School of the Arts and the Rose Bruford School in London. Weston has appeared in dozens of films, television shows, and plays, both on and off broadway. Weston’s film credits include “Dead Man Walking,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” “Snow Falling on Cedars,” “Far From Heaven,” “In the Bedroom” and “The Hulk.”
If the ceremony is held in the May Dell, families and guests will not
need any tickets to attend; and seating will be on a first-come, first-served
basis. If we are forced because of inclement weather to move to Hanes
Auditorium, each senior will have four guest tickets for the ceremony,
because of limited seating, and the ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m.
It is important to have those tickets with you on Saturday, in case
we have to move inside.
No one will be admitted to Hanes Auditorium without a Rain Ticket.
If you are a parent or guest, please ask for the rain ticket in advance.
