Salem College received a big award this past week from the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Independent College Access Network. The NCICU ICAN program awarded Salem with a $20,000 grant to help provide a quality higher education experience for students. The program awards grants to assist institutions in implementing new initiatives and to enhance existing advising, college success, and pre-college programs. Salem received the maximum award a school can receive, a major achievement for the student life staff.
