Targacept, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company based in Winston-Salem, recently donated a FlexStation2 for use in Salem's biology and chemistry laboratories. The new equipment will enhance both undergraduate research and regular laboratory courses, giving Salem students an edge in scientific studies. The gift was part of a partnership between Salem College and Targacept, which also includes undergraduate internships at the biotechnology and pharmaceutical corporation.
