Lineberger and Tillman chosen to All-AD3I Volleyball Team

Kansas-City, NC- The Salem College volleyball team had two players receive NCAA All-Association of Division III Independent's awards. The NCAA AD3I consists of seventeen colleges from throughout the country. Katie Lineberger (Maiden, NC) and Christine Tillman (King, NC) were both selected to the second team all-association. The Spirits, led by Coach Amanda Ziemba, improved from going 2-21 in 2007 to 14-21 in 2008.

Lineberger was a senior, outside hitter for Salem. She set school and season records for kills with 391 this year. She also set the school and season records for digs with 367. Lineberger was also selected to the Spirit Classic All-Tourney Team, and was the AD3I Player of the Week once.

Tillman is a sophomore, middle blocker for the Spirits. set the school and season records for blocks with 59, and service aces with 51. She was the AD3I player of the week once this season. Tillman also was selected to the Spirit Classic All-Tourney team and the River City All-Tourney team.
