DESCRIPTION:Winston-Salem artist Amy Funderburk will exhibit new works
  from her visionary series\, Images From the Otherworld. Through these
  paintings and accompanying photographs\, she depicts her extraordinar
 y experiences at sacred sites in Ireland and South of England\, as wel
 l as imagery derived from meditation. In these works\, she explores th
 e role of art\, belief\, and the power of positive thinking on the hea
 ling process. A connecting theme that runs throughout the series is th
 e cycle of creation and destruction\, of death and rebirth\, and the h
 ealing that lies between. Visitors may bring either strips of paper or
  100% natural cloth to tie to the wishing tree which will be part of 
 the exhibit.
