Joint Reception: February 10, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Brian Kiger and Betti Pettinati-Longinotti exhibits)
In response to our ever-increasing digital culture, Kiger has focused on production techniques consisting of hand printed materials such as lithographic and relief printed posters, books, and other ephemera as a vehicle for artistic expression. Graphic works such as these, by their very nature, serve critical roles in visual communication. The unique form and aesthetic of these prints creates a new element of communication that is powerful beyond the declaration of the written word. The process itself communicates a narrative that describes the unique aspect of production. Concern for the craft of printing itself, as well as the attention to detail that is necessary to create handmade prints, are all evident in the final pieces.
Exhibit hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
