The breakfast will feature the personal stories and thoughts of our local winners, as well as local and statewide community leaders. Due to construction adjacent to Bryant Hall, attendees are encouraged to enter Bryant Hall from the Salem Avenue entrance. Parking available at 800 E. Salem Avenue (across from the WS Employees Credit Union). She has also written a collection of stories, three memoirs and a trilogy of young adult novels. Her books have been translated into more than 27 languages and have become bestsellers across four continents. In 2004, she was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and in 2010, she was awarded the National Prize for Literature, Chile's most prestigious literary award. Allende will be on tour for the hardcover release of Maya's Notebook, which will be published in English on April 23. This will be Allende's only appearance in North Carolina. The exhibition includes rare books and publications that highlight diverse aspects of the artist’s career. Her books are at times interwoven with her performances.
