Terri Dowell-Dennis has made 100 hand-rubbed prints which explore the nature of chance and suffering, using old wooden cutting boards scarred with years of use. The resulting prints suggest family life, abundance and shared meals, but also cut to the heart of the idea of suffering. The densely marked and heavily scarred surfaces are both beautiful and evocative of hardship and struggle. The association with food in these images is palpable, which are overlaid with images of children.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of these prints will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and Feeding America.
