His previous collections include Somewhere During the Spin Cycle; Angels, Thieves, and Winemakers; and Love and Other Collisions. Joe Mills is the Susan Burress Wall Distinguished Professor in the Humanities at the North Carolina School of the Arts. “In a voice both rueful and companionable, Joe Mills inscribes through [his] poems the wavering circle of everyday life, the center of which is everywhere and the circumference nowhere—exactly the radius of the human heart.” –John P. O’Grady
