Biography:
Professor Cardwell is originally from Madison, NC.
During his 30-plus years of business and professional experience, he was a small-business owner, a manager with an international CPA firm and a partner in a small law firm where he primarily practiced business law.
He has also taught courses in accounting, income taxation and business law at various colleges in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina.
He has two children, a son who is in college and a daughter in high school. On weekends, Professor Cardwell enjoys hiking local trails.
His advice for students who are considering the study of accounting is to, “Meet and talk with a few CPAs to see if that is the type of work that you would enjoy doing for your career."
