Eric Aft

Adjunct Instructor, Not-for-Profit Mgt.

Eric Aft joined the United Way of Forsyth County in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as Vice President of Community Planning & Investment in September 2004 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in May 2009. 

He has served in the United Way system since 1990, including ten years as chief professional officer at two different United Ways.  His professional focus includes the development and sustenance of community collaborations and multi-agency initiatives as well as engaging donors in how their philanthropic goals can become reality through United Way’s strategic approach to addressing critical issues.     

Eric has a Masters of Health Administration from The University of South Carolina and a Bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College.  Eric, his wife Lisa, and children Avery and Claire live in Pfafftown, North Carolina.
