Barbara Fredrickson, the Kenan Distinguished Professor and director of the Positive Emotions and Psychophysiology Laboratory at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has received numerous honors for her research on positive emotions, including the American Psychological Association’s inaugural and highest Templeton Prize in Positive Psychology. Her work has also received more than 10 consecutive years of research funding from the National Institute of Mental Health. Fredrickson will discuss her book, Positivity: Groundbreaking Research Reveals How to Embrace the Hidden Strength of Positive Emotions, Overcome Negativity and Thrive. Free.
