DESCRIPTION:Open to the public during Gallery Hours\: 8\:30 a.m. – 5
 \:00 p.m. Monday through Friday\, 1\:00 p.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and S
 unday.\n\nTerri Dowell-Dennis has made 100 hand-rubbed prints which ex
plore the nature of chance and suffering\, using old wooden cutting bo
ards scarred with years of use. The resulting prints suggest family li
fe\, abundance and shared meals\, but also cut to the heart of the ide
a of suffering. The densely marked and heavily scarred surfaces are bo
th beautiful and evocative of hardship and struggle. The association w
ith food in these images is palpable\, which are overlaid with images
of children.\n\nOne hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of t
hese prints will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and Feeding America.
