An evening of dance, film and visual art

Friday, January 21 through Monday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m./Drama Workshop, Salem Fine Arts Center

Salem College presents the Alban Elvêd Dance Company with an evening of new dance works.  This performance marks the beginning of a three-year residency at Salem College that the interdisciplinary contemporary dance company will complete in May 2013. Led by artistic director and choreographer Karola Luttringhaus, Alban Elvêd splits its time between Berlin, Germany and North Carolina. The company often blends dance, athletics, theatre, film, technological applications, custom-made apparatus, visual art and sculpture within their works, reaching much beyond the traditional definitions of the field of dance to create startling and evocative psychological landscapes.

Admission by ticket only: Opening Night Gala - $25 general admission for performance and reception. Saturday through Monday performances: $12 for general admission, all performances are free for Salem faculty, staff and students.  Reservations can be made beginning January 5 by emailing or by calling 336/917-5493.  Visit for information on ALBAN ELVĔD DANCE COMPANY.
