Shirley Recital Hall, where most student concerts take place, is one of the finest intimate auditoriums in the city, known for its beauty and superb acoustics. It has two magnificent Steinway Concert Grand pianos; a 3-manual Flentrop concert organ and a 2-manual Dowd Harpsichord. There are 17 piano practice rooms and three organ practice rooms for students who come to their lessons a little early or have some time following their lessons. They may use the practice rooms that are not signed-out or being used by other Salem College music majors. SCCMS has a comfortable lounge and information center: a good place to relax or do some work.
Parking
The large parking lot adjacent to the Fine Arts Building is well-lit and always has space for students and their parents.
