Courses for Community - Fall 2014
Residents of the Triad have turned to the Courses for Community series to enrich their lives through the visual arts, dance, writing, professional development, test preparations and more for more than thirty years.
Our unique role is to make high-quality non-credit courses accessible to everyone, creating opportunities to keep your mind active and engaged. The program offers interesting and affordable classes in a safe, comfortable environment with the majority of classes meeting on the beautiful Salem College campus. There are 35 exciting opportunities to increase your knowledge and activity level, improve your lifestyle and provide personal enjoyment throughout the spring.
Classes are offered on most weekday evenings with duration of one to two hours each session. Class and activity schedules range from single sessions to several weeks. Prices vary depending on the type of class and number of weeks the course is scheduled to meet.
Class sizes are limited in order to enhance the learning environment and encourage interaction among participants. For those seeking professional acknowledgement, certificates of completion are available upon request. Numerous courses qualify for educator renewal credits. Required documentation is provided.
Give the gift of knowledge with a customized gift certificate for any occasion. Our courses make excellent gifts and are educational, fun and provide an outlet for people to gather and learn something new and interesting. Once you are registered, a map of campus and a letter of confirmation with course details will be mailed to you. Registration is ongoing and without deadlines.
