Week Four
We went to our host family's home this weekend and it was so much of fun. We made dumplings and watched movies all night; it was a special night.
At the hospital, it was regular rounds and conferences. I got to attend an interesting web conference given by Dr. Dillard from Forsyth Medical Center on the topic "NICCU Organization and Administration." I talked to my supervisor about pulmonary hemorrhages and saw ultrasounds and X-rays of such cases. It was just so amazing to see how meticulously doctors and other medical staff handled these rare cases; everything I saw was so motivational.
This week, I also submitted my paper on
"The role of environmental toxicants on premature births" and gave my
presentation. I went to Asheville with Dr. Eskew and some of my friends
to plant ginseng seeds. The visit was a part of my independent study on
Ginseng for the spring semester. With sheer joy, I must say, I am so
excited and all ready to start classes.
