Volleyball sweeps its way to two conference victories

The Salem College volleyball team swept by Agnes Scott and Wesleyan today in Great South matches at home. The Spirits easily defeated both teams with a 25-14, 25-17, and 25-10 win against Wesleyan and a 25-16, 25-12, and 27-25 win against Agnes Scott. Salem improves to 8-11 with the 2 wins, and 3-4 in the Great South.

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team swept by Agnes Scott and Wesleyan today in Great South matches at home. The Spirits easily defeated both teams with a 25-14, 25-17, and 25-10 win against Wesleyan and a 25-16, 25-12, and 27-25 win against Agnes Scott. Salem improves to 8-11 with the 2 wins, and 3-4 in the Great South.

Zy Henderson (Spartanburg, SC) led the Spirits with 8 digs against Wesleyan. Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) led Salem in the Wesleyan match with 29 assists, and Roslyn Nixon (Wilson, NC) had 12 kills and 7 service aces.

Against Agnes Scott, Jones had 27 assists and 4 service aces. Henderson once again led the Spirits with 11 digs. Nixon provided 10 kills against the Scotties, and Michelle Morgan (Chattanooga, TN) had 9 kills.

The Spirits play another GSAC match tomorrow when they host Spelman at 1:00.
