Volleyball splits day against Guilford and Allen

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team swept Allen University
today, but could not avoid the season sweep by the Guilford Quakers today at home. Salem started the day with an easy victory against Allen (25-16, 25-5, 25-17). The Spirits fell in 3 sets to Guilford (21-25, 16-21, 21-25). Salem is currently 4-10 this season.
Roslyn Nixon (Wilson, NC) had a strong match against Guilford with 9 kills, 1 solo block, and 2 block assists. Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) led the Spirits with 19 set assists. Brittany Miller (Hays, NC) led the team with 11 digs.
In the match against Allen, Nixon had 11 kills and Katie O'Leary (Seldova, AK) also had 11 kills. Jones finished with 33 set assists. Miller led the team with 9 digs.
Salem heads to Alabama next weekend to take on Huntingdon and Tuskegee.
