Volleyball drops first match of 2012 season

The Salem College volleyball team and new head coach Dana Wall lost their 1st match of 2012 today to Greensboro College at home. The Pride swept the Spirits in 3 sets (11-25, 21-25, 15-25). Roslyn Nixon (Wilson, NC) led the Spirits with 9 kills and 2 block assists in the match. The Spirits are now 0-1 this season.

The match was the first volleyball match of the Dana Wall era at Salem. The Pride swept the Spirits in 3 sets (11-25, 21-25, 15-25). Roslyn Nixon (Wilson, NC) led the Spirits with 9 kills and 2 block assists. The Spirits are now 0-1 this season.

Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) had all 17 set assists for the Spirits and she also had a service ace. Katie O'Leary (Seldova, AK) led the team with 13 digs. The Pride were led by Liz Widenhouse with 11 kills.

The Spirits have a week off before they travel to Livingstone on the 11th.
