Volleyball picks up first win at Eastern Mennonite Invitational

Harrisonburg, VA-The Salem College volleyball team went 1-3 at the Eastern Mennonite University Hampton Inn and Sleep Inn Invitational. The Spirits lost a close three set match to EMU (20-25, 22-25, 25-27). They also fell to Catholic University in three sets (20-25, 21-25, 13-25) on Friday. The Spirits picked up their first win of the season against Mary Baldwin on Saturday (25-19, 25-17, 25-12). Salem lost their last match of the invite against Stevenson in three sets (14-25, 20-25, 17-25). Khadija Layne (Dorchester, MA) and Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) were each placed on the EMU All-Invitational team.
