Volleyball plays three matches at Sweet Briar Quad

Sweet Briar, VA- The Salem College volleyball team played three matches today at the Sweet Briar Quad Match. Salem lost to Sweet Briar in a close five set match, in four sets to Eastern Mennonite, and in three sets to Mary Washington. Salem falls to 4-12 on the season. 

Salem played a tough five set match (25-23, 21-25, 25-20, 18-25, 9-15) in the morning game against Sweet Briar. The Spirits had a 2-1 advantage in the match, but the Vixens were able to take the last two sets. Salem took the third game in a 3-1 loss (23-25, 19-25, 25-20, 17-25) to Eastern Mennonite. Mary Washington was able to defeat Salem in straight sets (14-25, 16-25, 13-25).

Salem will return to action this Tuesday the 29th when they host Piedmont Baptist College at 7:00.
