Winchester, VA- Salem College played a doubleheader against Shenandoah University on Sunday afternoon. Shenandoah (10-22) defeated Salem College in both matches by the scores of 17-30, 30-27, 23-30, 25-30 and 16-30, 26-30, 27-30.
In game one, the Spirits (2-21) were led by Whitney Sorenson (Jr., Glendale, AZ) with 17 kills and 10 digs. Tani Hatch (FY, Salt Lake City, UT) had 17 digs while Christine Tillman (FY, King, NC) had 14 kills.
In game two, Sydney Sweet (FY, Charlotte, NC) recorded 12 aces. Tillman had 9 kills and 9 digs while Sorenson had 9 kills and 8 digs. Alyssa Alcos (FY, Jacksonville, FL) recorded 8 digs.
