Pine Ridge's Chaffers commits to run track and play soccer at Salem

Deltona, FL-The Salem College track & field and soccer programs are pleased to
announce that Victoria Chaffers has committed and deposited
to attend Salem next fall. Chaffers ran track for Christopher Madzik and
played soccer for Randy Cutlip and Jay Lecruex at Pine Ridge High School in Florida.
The Salem track & field team is coming off a season where they broke several school records. The soccer team is coming off an 11-5-2 season, and their third straight trip to the Great South Athletic Conference semifinals in 2011.
Chaffers ran track for 1 year for the Panthers, and earned gold bars. She lettered in soccer for 4 years, and was selected as the teams best defender 3 times. She also played club soccer for the Deltona Youth Soccer Club for 7 years.
She was a 4 year honor roll recipient, and she won the 4.0 Grade Point Average for 4 years. Chaffers was also a member of the National Honors Society and the Academic Team at Pine Ridge. She is the daughter of Dennis Chaffers.
Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in
