Track & Field breaks more records at Furman Invitational

The Salem College track & field team set more school records this weekend at the Furman Invitational in South Carolina. The 4x400 meter relay team of Cristi Magracia (Lemon Grove, CA), Courtney Hedgecock (San Diego, CA), Michelle Lawler (Gibsonville, NC) and Karoline Summerville (Charlotte, NC) broke the Salem record with a time of 4:49.41.

vttrackGreenville, SC-The Salem College track & field team set more school records this weekend at the Furman Invitational in South Carolina. The 4x400 meter relay team of Cristi Magracia (Lemon Grove, CA), Courtney Hedgecock (San Diego, CA), Michelle Lawler (Gibsonville, NC) and Karoline Summerville (Charlotte, NC) broke the Salem record with a time of 4:49.41.

Summerville finished 7th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:42.41 and broke her Salem record. Natali Olveda (Paso Robles, CA) finished 4th in the 3000m and set a new Salem record of 12:04.79. Stephanie Verdi (High Point, NC) finished 7th in the 3000 meter run.

Magracia finished 7th in the 1500 meter run breaking a Salem record with a time of 5:28.81, and Hedgecock was 10th. Tali Schroeder (Lexington, VA) had a personal record in the 1500 with a time of 6:03.23.  

The Spirits wrap up their season on May 3rd when they run in the Liberty Twilight.
