Salem to Host Great South Conference Softball and Tennis Tournaments
Winston-Salem, NC-Salem College will be hosting the 2013 Great South Athletic Conference Championships for softball and tennis the weekend of April 26th. This will be the 1st time the department has hosted a Great South Championship in any sport
Mike Hollman takes over Salem College tennis program
Salem College Director of Athletics Melissa Barrett has announced that Mike Hollman will take over the Salem College tennis program. Hollman is very familiar with Salem College. He was the assistant tennis coach for 4 years, and he has worked with the soccer program for the past 5 years. Hollman will immediately take over the program, which went 4-11 overall last year and lost in the Great South quarterfinals.
2013 Tennis Schedule released by athletic department
The Salem College athletic department has released the 2013 tennis schedule. The team will begin action on February 16th when they host William Peace. Great South Athletic Conference play begins on February 23rd when the Spirits host Huntingdon for a double-header match. Here is the complete schedule:

The Salem College tennis team is set to appear in their first-ever Great South Athletic Conference Tournament this weekend in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Tennis earns trip to Great South Tournament with two victories
The Salem College tennis team earned 2 huge victories out of 3 matches on a road trip to Georgia in Great South play. The Spirits earned victories over Spelman (5-4) and Wesleyan (8-1) to earn a spot in the Great South Tournament. The Spirits improved their overall record to 4-10, and their Great South record to 3-6 and earned a fifth seed.
Tennis loses final home match against Covenant
The Salem College tennis team lost their final home match of the season to Covenant College 7-2 in Great South action. Lauren Wisen (Madison, OH) picked up a win at number 6 singles in her final home match of her career. Salem falls to 2-9 with the loss.
