Tennis loses first match in Hilton Head to Frostburg

The Salem College tennis team lost their first match at the Hilton Head Island Tennis Festival against Frostburg State University.

Hilton Head, SC-The Salem College tennis team lost their first match at the Hilton kerrimorganserve Head Island Tennis Festival against Frostburg State University. Kerri Morgan (Walnut Cove, NC) picked up the lone win for the Spirits in the number 1 singles match. Salem falls to 2-6 on the season with the loss.

Morgan played a very exciting 3 set match against FSU's top player. She picked up the win 10-3 in the third set. Cierra Young (Pooler, GA) played a close match at number 4 singles, but lost 7-5, 7-5.

The Spirits return to action tomorrow against Coastal Georgia in Hilton Head.
