Tennis falls in Great South home match against Maryville

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College tennis team dropped a conference match 8-1 to Maryville College.

Lauren Wisen (Madison, OH) picked up Salem's lone win in the match. Salem falls to 2-5 overall this season and to 1-2 in the Great South.
Wisen won at the number 6 singles position 6-4, 6-4. Salem's number 1 and number 2 doubles both played very close matches. Kerri Morgan (Walnut Cove, NC) and Angela Reavis (Boonville, NC) lost 7-8 at number 1 doubles, and Amy Allison (Geneva, OH) and Cierra Young (Pooler, GA) lost 6-8 in the number 2 doubles match.
The Spirits return to action next week at the Hilton Head Classic.
