Salem College recently named Mike Dryman as the new head coach for tennis and director of sports performance. Dryman will lead Salem’s tennis team and oversee strength and conditioning for Salem’s seven varsity sports teams.

Mike Dryman as the new head coach for tennis and director of sports
performance. Dryman will lead Salem’s tennis team and oversee strength and
conditioning for Salem’s seven varsity sports teams.
"Mike will offer sport-specific conditioning and performance programs geared towards female student-athletes,” says Melissa Barrett, Director of Athletics, Salem College. “His expertise will help us create a fun and dynamic atmosphere where our student-athletes can grow and excel in sports."
Dryman is the founder and CEO of Performance Sports Group, a sports science service provider for elite athletes, teams and organizations. He is also managing partner and co-founder of Applied Tactical Advisory Consultants, which provides physical and mental training services to state and federal law enforcement agencies.
During his 22-year coaching career, he served as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC, as well as academy director at Chapel Hill Tennis Academy and director of tennis at Chapel Hill Tennis Club. He has worked with more than 200 NCAA Division I and II athletes during his tenure as a coach. Drymane holds two specialized degrees from the College of the Low Country in Professional Tennis Teaching and Coaching and Professional Club Management.
