Tennis storms past William Peace for first win of the season

The Salem College tennis team easily handled William Peace 8-1 yesterday to pick up their first win of the season. Kerri Morgan (Walnut Cove, NC) won both her singles and doubles matches at the number one position. Salem improves to 1-2 this season with the win.

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College tennis team easily handled William Peace 8-1 yesterday to pick up their first win of the season. Kerri Morgan (Walnut Cove, NC) won both her singles and doubles matches at the number one position. Salem improves to 1-2 this season with the win.

Morgan teamed with Angela Reavis (Boonville, NC) to win at the number one doubles spot in a tie-breaker. Amy Allison (Geneva, OH) and Cierra Young (Pooler, GA) won at number two doubles, and Lauren Wisen (Madison, OH) and Samantha Story (Burlington, NC) won at number three doubles. Young, Carly Neisler (Cramerton, NC), Wisen, and Story also won their singles matches.

The Spirits will play their first Great South match on the 25th at Huntingdon.
