Mike Hollman takes over Salem College tennis program

Salem College Director of Athletics Melissa Barrett has announced that Mike Hollman will take over the Salem College tennis program. Hollman is very familiar with Salem College. He was the assistant tennis coach for 4 years, and he has worked with the soccer program for the past 5 years. Hollman will immediately take over the program, which went 4-11 overall last year and lost in the Great South quarterfinals.

Barrett says "we are very excited that Coach Mike Hollman has accepted our offer to be the next head tennis coach at Salem College.  He has been involved with the department of athletics on many levels over the past several years.  He is committed to the development of the student-athlete and providing a Salem College Tennis experience that is second to none."

shanaheadHollman directed most of the day to day practices when he was the assistant tennis coach at Salem from 2008 through 2011. He has announced that Shana Sabol Krenz will be his assistant coach this season. She currently works at the Tanglewood Tennis Center with adult and junior tennis players.  She is also a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association.
