Tennis honors senior Kim Wisen in loss against Spelman

The Salem College tennis team honored four-year player, Kim Wisen (Madison, OH), in her final home match yesterday. Wisen has been a four-year tennis and soccer player at Salem. The Spirits team was not able to pick up a win in a 8-1 loss to Great South opponent, Spelman College. Salem drops to 0-4 in the conference, and their overall record is now 6-5.

kimhitsWinston-Salem, NC-The Salem College tennis team honored four-year player, Kim Wisen (Madison, OH), in her final home match yesterday. Wisen has been a four-year tennis and soccer player at Salem. The Spirits were not able to pick up a win in a 8-1 loss to Great South opponent, Spelman College. Salem drops to 0-4 in the conference, and their overall record is now 6-5.

Wisen played a strong match at the number three singles position, before falling to Adanne Ebo (4-6, 4-6). Amy Allison (Geneva, OH) picked up Salem's lone win on the day.

The Spirits go on the road this weekend for three important Great South matches at Georgia Wesleyan, Piedmont, and Maryville. They need to pick up at least two wins to qualify for the GSAC tournament.
