Rocky Mount, NC- The Salem College tennis team fell on the road to North Carolina Wesleyan, 6-3. The Spirits played without two of their top six players due to injuries. Tori Collier (Raleigh, NC) won both her singles and doubles matches. She paired with Anna Devoe (Chesapeake, VA) to win the number two doubles match, 8-0. Salem falls to 2-2 with the defeat.

Devoe played the number one singles match for the first time this season, since Elise Rouse (Wilmington, NC) was out with injury. Devoe lost to Jamie Galasso (0-6, 2-6). Michala Michaux (Morganton, NC) played number two singles for the first time, and lost in a close three set match to Leila Heinonen(0-6, 7-6, 6-7). She trailed 4-1 in the second set, and fought through three match points to force a third set.  Kim Wisen (Madison, OH) won her singles match against Tori Tenner (6-2, 6-3).
