Tennis improves to 2-0 against Ferrum at home

Winston-Salem, NC- The Salem College tennis team swept Ferrum College, 8-0, at home this weekend. Elise Rouse (Wilmington, NC) won her first #1 singles match against Brittany Bodgers (6-1, 6-1). Rouse teamed with Anna Devoe (Chesapeake, VA) to win the #1 doubles against Bodgers and Angelina Boakini (8-4). Salem improved to 2-0 on the season with the victory.
Devoe would also pick up a victory in #2 singles against Boakini (6-0, 4-6, 13-11). Michala Michaux stayed undefeated in # 3 singles by beating Heather Marshall (7-6, 15-13). She also teamed with Ashley Bodford (Siloam, NC) to win #2 doubles against Marshall and Meagan Moran (8-5).
Bodford and Tori Collier (Raleigh, NC) remained undefeated in singles action so far this season. Collier and Kim Wisen (Madison, OH) defeated Cameron Kolinski and Lea McMillian in #3 doubles (9-7) in a close match.
