Tennis Finishes the 2007 Season With Four Matches
April 10- The Salem College Tennis Team finished the 2007 season with four matches in five days right before Easter Break. The action began on March 31 as the Spirits traveled to Stanton, Virginia to play Mary Baldwin College. On Sunday, the team traveled to Salem, Virginia to play Roanoke College. After an one-day break, Salem hosted North Carolina Wesleyan College on Tuesday followed by a quick trip back into Virginia to play Averett University in Danville.

“Salem College’s Women Tennis team fought a hard match against an extremely strong and deep Roanoke College. Anna Devoe and Elise Norton teamed at #1 Doubles to defeat Roanoke’s #1 Doubles team 8-6. Elise Norton soundly defeated Roanoke’s #1 10-2 in singles. Singles were shortened due to the high chance of rain which began to fall right after the completion of the match.”- Coach Brown
