Softball drops two non-conference games at Emory and Henry

The Salem College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader at Emory & Henry in non-conference action. The Wasps won the 1st game 14-5 and the 2nd game in 5 innings 11-3. The Spirits are now 5-15 overall, while the Wasps improve to 8-8.

Emory, VA-The Salem College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader at Emory & Henry in non-conference kristimortonbatsaction. The Wasps won the 1st game (14-5) and the 2nd game in 5 innings (11-3). The Spirits are now 5-15 overall, while the Wasps improve to 8-8. 

Kayla Kennedy (Goldsboro, NC) and Kristi Morton (Trussville, AL) led the Spirits with 3 hits each on the day. Lexi Perez (Mount Ulla, NC) had 3 runs batted in and Amber Bass (Clinton, NC) had 2. Morton and Bass each had 3 runs in the doubleheader. Allie Watkins (Locust, NC) was the losing pitcher for the Spirits in both games. Morton pitched 2 innings in the 2nd game and allowed 1 run.

The Spirits return to action in two weeks when they travel to Guilford for non-conference play on April 3rd.
