Coach Long hires Ken Hunt as softball assistant coach

The Salem College softball team has hired Ken Hunt as an assistant coach according to Head Coach Scott Long. Hunt comes to Salem after a successful coaching career at High Point Christian Academy (HPCA), where he was the head coach from 2005-2009. Hunt also has spent the past twenty-five years traveling the world with his adult softball teams.

Hunt comes to Salem after a successful coaching career at High Point Christian Academy (HPCA), where he was the head coach from 2005-2009. Hunt also has spent the past twenty-five years traveling the world with his men's fastpitch division softball teams.

Hunt graduated from North Carolina State University. He compiled a 55-26 record at HPCA, and also initiated a junior varsity program. Hunt has played against teams from Mexico, Canada, and Venezuela with his softball teams. He is also a member the National Softball Fastpitch Coaches Association.
