Soccer Earns National Academic Award for Second Straight Year

The Salem College soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2011-2012 school year. This is the 2nd straight year the team has been honored with the award, which is acquired by having a team cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic school year. The Spirits obtained a team GPA of 3.13 last year.

This is the second straight year the team has been honored with the award, which is acquired by having a team cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic school year. The Spirits obtained a team GPA of 3.13 last year.

This is the second time this month academics on the soccer program have been awarded. Salem had 12 soccer players awarded with Great South Academic All-Conference honors, which was the most in the conference this fall. Below is a link to the list of schools honored:
