Stonewall Jackson's Kent commits to play soccer at Salem

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College soccer program is excited to announce that Bethany Kent committed to attend Salem next fall. Kent played midfield for Coach Pierre Slaiby and Coach Nicole St. Germain at Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, VA. Salem is coming off of a 12-7-1 season in 2009, and a trip to the Great South Athletic Conference semi-finals.
Kent was a two-year captain for Stonewall Jackson, and played varsity all four years. She played club soccer for Coach Kristin Brunner with Prince William Soccer, Inc. Kent plans to major in education and sociology while at Salem. She is the daughter of Kathie and Sean Kent.
Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772. The institution boasts a proud history of fostering independence in women. Salem was recently ranked number 67 in Forbes magazines second annual ranking of America's 600 best colleges, and as Forbes' number fourteen in their "America's Best College Buys" Top 100.
