Soccer scores with thirty seconds left against Ferrum to move to 14-2

The Salem College soccer team defeated Ferrum College 2-1 tonight on a very rainy field. Tia Bringhurst (Hurricane, UT) scored with thirty seconds left to give the Spirits an exciting win. Salem moves to 14-2 overall on the season.

Ferrum, VA-The Salem College soccer team defeated Ferrum College 2-1 tonight on a very rainy field. Tia Bringhurst (Hurricane, UT) scored with thirty seconds left to give the Spirits an exciting win. Salem moves to 14-2 overall on the season.

Alexi Saganich (McLeansville, NC) started the scoring in the 12th minute off of an assist by Anna Trakas (Tryon, NC) and Bringhurst. Ferrum tied the score in the 70th minute, before Bringhurst scored the game winning goal in the last minute. Jazmine Bridgeman (Mill Springs, NC) recorded 6 saves in the win.

Salem will finish their regular season on the road when they travel to Mountain State University in Beckley, WV on Friday at 5:00. The Salem soccer program and Head Coach Jay Callahan will look for their 50th win.
