Soccer remains unbeaten at home with 5-0 victory against Agnes Scott

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College soccer team defeated Agnes Scott 5-0 at home today in a Great South match. Alexi Saganich (McLeansville, NC) scored twice and had an assist in the match. Salem improves to 5-0 at home and have outscored their opponents 29-0 in those five matches. The Spirits are now 7-1 overall on the season, and 2-0 in the Great South.
Saganich scored in the 17th minute off of a corner kick by Kim Wisen (Madison, OH). Tia Bringhurst (Hurricane, UT) would score on a corner kick by Anna Trakas (Tryon, NC) just one and a half minutes later. Saganich was assisted by Bringhurst in the 23rd minute to give Salem a 3-0 lead at the break.
Bethany Kent (Manassas, VA) scored midway through the second half on an assist by Cassy Khouri (Canyon Country, CA). Amanda Orsino (Sauquoit, NY) finished off the scoring for the Spirits in the 80th minute on an assist by Saganich. Salem outshot Agnes Scott 18-5, and had an 11-2 corner kick advantage. Jazmine Bridgeman (Mill Springs, NC) and Khouri combined for the shutout.
Salem returns to action in a very important Great South match on October 6th when they host Maryville at 4:00. Maryville is on a 101 game unbeaten streak in the Great South.
