Norton High's Milford commits to play soccer at Salem

The Salem College soccer program is pleased to announce that Trisha Milford has committed to attend Salem next fall. Milford played four years of varsity soccer for Coach Nate Vaill and Coach Seth Vaill at Norton High School in Norton, OH until 2009. She spent the past two years playing club soccer at the University of Akron.

trishadribbleWinston-Salem, NC-The Salem College soccer program is pleased to announce that Trisha Milford has committed to attend Salem next fall. Milford played four years of varsity soccer for Coach Nate Vaill and Coach Seth Vaill at Norton High School in Norton, OH until 2009. She spent the past two years playing club soccer at the University of Akron. The Salem soccer team is coming off a 15-3 season, and a second-place regular season Great South Athletic Conference finish in 2010.

Milford, a defender and midfielder, was a second team all-conference selection her senior year. She was also the team captain and an academic all-star. Milford was the most valuable player of the Adidas Cup her junior year. Milford also was a basketball player at Norton, where she was an academic all-star and team captain.

She was very involved in extracurricular activities at Norton. Milford was a member of the Norton Prom Committee and an office helper. She is the daughter of Trisha and Jeremy Milford.

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772.
