Billings Skyview High's Ferguson commits to play soccer at Salem

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College soccer program is excited to announce that Sawyer Ferguson has committed to attend Salem next fall. Ferguson played four years of varsity soccer for Coach John Wistler at Billings Skyview High School in Billings, MT. The Salem soccer team is coming off a 15-3 season, and a second-place regular season Great South Athletic Conference finish in 2010.
Ferguson, a forward, was selected to the Montana All-State team as a senior. She was also selected as a team captain and the best offensive player for the Falcons this past season. Ferguson holds the record for most goals in a season at Billings Skyview.
She played club soccer for the Magic City Soccer Club. Ferguson is also an excellent track runner. She won the Montana State AA Championships in the 300 meter hurdles as a junior.
Ferguson is very involved in academics at Skyview. She won the Academic Honors Achievement Award and is a member of the National Honors Society. She plans to major in exercise science at Salem. Ferguson is the daughter of Wendy Anderson and Michael Ferguson.
