Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College soccer program is excited to announce the addition of Sara Otero who committed to attend Salem next fall. Otero played four strong years of varsity soccer for Coach Steve Richards at Viera High School in Melbourne, FL. 

Otero was selected as a Cape Coast All-Conference performer in 2009 during her senior season. She was also a team captain for Viera. Otero played club soccer for Tom Szuba and Scott Buescher with the Space Coast United Soccer Club, and for Richards with the Megu Fusion.

Otero was an excellent student during her time at Viera. She was an AP Scholar with Distinction, a member of National Honor Society, and on the Student Senate. She also was the founder and president of Viera's Harry Potter Alliance, and a member of the Wind Ensemble. Otero plans to major in International Relations and English while at Salem. She is the daughter of Maria Liliana Guerrero and Fernando Otero. 

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772. The institution boasts a proud history of fostering independence in women.
