Soccer Stays Undefeated!

September 8, 2007 Winston-Salem, NC- The red hot Salem College Soccer Team remained undefeated (3-0-1) as they beat Hollins University (1-3-0) today in non conference play by the score of 2-0. The Spirits out shot Hollins 33-6 as the defense shut down yet another opponent this 2007 season.

Winston-Salem, NC- The red hot Salem College Soccer Team remained undefeated (3-0-1) as they beat Hollins University (1-3-0) today in non conference play by the score of 2-0. The Spirits out shot Hollins 33-6 as the defense shut down yet another opponent this 2007 season.

Tori Collier (Raleigh, NC) started the scoring in the first half with a goal 30 minutes into the game. Kayla Stover (Sturgeon Bay, WI) assisted in the goal which proved to be the game-winner. Later in the second half, Tara Madden (Greenville, NC) scored with an assist from Megan Harrington (Jacksonville, NC) to make the score 2-0. Andrea Baldwin (Hudson, NC) recorded all six saves for Salem College.

“This the best 90 minute effort by the Spirits all season long,” commented Coach Callahan. “We continue to improve each game and we look forward to the rest of the season.”
