Ferrum, VA- The Salem College soccer team fell in overtime 1-0, in a road game at Ferrum tonight. The loss was the Spirits second overtime away loss of the season. Salem drops to 7-7, while Ferrum improves to 5-7-1.

"The game was pretty evenly played tonight," said Head Coach Jay Callahan. "They scored a goal that should not have happened, but Ferrum outplayed us tonight and deserved the win. We have had a problem with finishing in close games this year. This is our fifth loss by one goal that was scored either in overtime or in the last minutes of the half. We need to finish our chances, and not give up anymore unfortunate goals this weekend."

Salem will host Averett this Sunday at 2:00 for their final regular season game. The game will also be Kayla Stover's (Sturgeon Bay, WI) last game at Salem; she is the only senior and a three year captain.
